The inventor of a revolutionary plug, Lette, is found to be too ugly by his chief Scheffler to sell his product himself. That is why his colleague has to present the new plug. Even his wife Fanny finds Lette too ugly and decides he has to undergo plastic surgery with Dr. Scheffler and his assistant and to get a new head. The repugnant is a fast, surreal comedy about the compulsive dictatorship of the beauty cult and the compelling hold of the consumer society.
